We are excited to feature Fuller Farms in Hawkins, TX on the website. Fuller Farms was featured on the Podcast in Episode 86. Tanner Spurlock runs the farm with his family and shares a love for tracking data of his farm. I appreciate his desire to fully understand the cost and profit margin of his business. It has allowed him to grow exponentially over the last 3 years.
Here is an excerpt from his website that explains a little about their philosophy of farming:
“Fuller Farms TX is a veteran-owned family farm out of Hawkins, TX. Our goal is to restore balance to mother nature through regenerative agriculture.
One way we do this is by routinely moving our animals; they are rotated through the pasture and forest areas of our farm to allow for new forage and fresh bedding regularly. All while simultaneously giving the land time to rest, recover and reproduce a better soil health, leading to new lush vegetation and organic matter. This practice creates healthier and tastier meats from our animals while also allowing the land to thrive for generations to come.”
