Farm Bio
Honor Bound Farm is owned by Lora and Jeremy Wood. It is located in the canyons southeast of North Platte, Nebraska. We raise Kunekune pigs, manage hunting properties, and make our amazing lard soap.
Honor Bound Farm came to fruition as a way to have control over our food. We believe animals should be raised in a natural setting and allowed to be themselves. Our pigs are 100% pasture raised. They have 3 acres of pasture to graze and explore. We believe in encouraging good mothering ability, the ability to naturally forage, and breeding a pig that is structurally sound and has a good range of motion. Our animal’s welfare is a top priority.
We are working towards a sustainable lifestyle. We plant alfalfa, oats, and clover as forage and hay for the pigs. We raise chickens for eggs and meat, and hope to put in a garden next season. What meat we don’t raise, we hunt and fish.
