Our goal with this site is to become a repository of useful information, community, and resources for anyone interested in raising pigs on pasture. Whether you are just getting started with a couple hogs on your homestead for personal consumption or whether you are a seasoned pig farmer looking to share your experiences with the rest of the world, we want you to feel at home on this website and consider contributing input to make it a better resource for everyone.

The Pastured Pig started several years ago as a podcast by Troy and Kelly McClung of Red Tool House Homestead. The goal was to just have a platform for pastured pig farmers all over the country (and world) to tell their story. Shared experiences are one of the best ways to learn how to take on something new. One person’s mistake explain to others may help them avoid making the same error and saving both time and money.

The Pastured Pig is growing into a multimedia platform that includes this website, the podcast, and a patreon group with membership benefits.
